Synopsis
In a series of focused interviews, this book introduces the work of the twelve contemporary British writers most commonly studied by undergraduates, including Pat Barker, Roddy Doyle, Hanif Kureishi, Bernard MacLaverty, Barry Unsworth, Fay Weldon, Michele Roberts, A.S. Byatt, Irvine Welsh, and Alan Hollinghurst. Each interview is prefaced by a short introduction to the writer and their work and is followed by a list of their works of fiction and of criticism and reviews.
