R�gine Deforges (1935-2014) est n�e dans le Poitou. Tr�s t�t, les livres constituent son univers d’�lection : elle devient tour � tour libraire, relieur, �diteur, �crivain, sc�nariste et r�alisateur. Elle ouvre plusieurs librairies, tant � Paris qu’en province, et cr�e, en 1968, sa propre maison d’�dition, L’Or du temps, et devient de ce fait la premi�re femme �diteur fran�aise. Le premier livre qu’elle publie, Ir�ne, attribu� � Louis Aragon, est saisi quarante-huit heures apr�s sa mise en vente. D�s cet instant, R�gine Deforges se bat et ne cessera plus de se battre pour d�fendre la libert� d’expression sous toutes ses formes. En 1981, elle conna�t son plus grand succ�s de librairie avec la parution de La Bicyclette bleue qui obtient le prix des Maisons de la Presse. R�gine Deforges a �crit pr�s de quatre-vingts livres de genres extr�mement vari�s : des romans, des nouvelles, des essais, des entretiens, des chroniques, ainsi que quelques sc�narios, chansons ou dessins.
