Continuous Quality Improvement in the Classroom: A Collaborative Approach

In this book, authors Bob Cornesky and Bill Lazarus us a "systems" approach as the core for their training program. They examine the classroom from four systems: 1) the facilitating system, 2) the learning system, 3) the improvement system, and 4) the payment (or reward) system. To show the active interrelations of these classroom systems, the authors use an eleven step approach with continuous quality improvement tools and techniques to guide you on your quality journey. Case studies and training activities reinforce the importance of continuous quality improvement principles and approaches to teaching and learning.
The book also contains a self-assessment survey instrument to measure teaching effectiveness. The instrument is based on the Malcolm Baldridge National Quality Award Education Pilot Criteria.
