"This present book by L. Kalsbeek is not by profession a philosopher; he was a teacher and principal of a Christian grammar school for fifty years until his recent retirement. He is a self-trained thinker... I think Kalsbeek has written the kind of introduction to Dooyeweerd we need in the English-speaking world precisely because he is not a professional philosopher but an excellent teacher who explains a very complex system in a pedagogically responsible manner, that is, step by careful step. This book is not intended for philosophers but for students, teachers, and others who desire to deepen and broaden a biblical view of man and the world."
