Contributions in Algebra and Algebraic Geometry: International Conference Algebra, Discrete Mathematics and Applications December 9-11 2017 Dr. . India (Contemporary Mathematics, 738)

From a December 2017 international conference in Aurangabad, India, 11 invited lectures explore mainstream research topics in algebra and algebraic geometry. Among them are roots of elements in Lie groups and the exponential maps, Minkowsky inequality and equality for multiplicity of ideals of finite length in Noetherian local rings, the decomposition of singular elements of an algebra into product of idempotents: a survey, tableau correspondences and representation theory, and a relationship between Gelfand-Tsetlin bases and Chari-Loktev bases for irreducible finite dimensional representations of special linear Lie algebras.
