She worked as a disc jockey before qualifying as a barrister, and enjoys travel, judo, netball and creative writing. Head of Family Law at her group of solicitors, Jan decided to write the book With Jody Beveridge after being asked the same questions by so many of her clients and realising there was a gap in the market for helpful advice on this subject. Her career, combined with a lecturing post at Newcastle University, have equipped Jan with the skills to write an informative and comprehensive guide on the subject of divorce, whilst also making it easily accessible. Having a father in the RAF meant that Jan has lived in various places in the UK, but also countries such as Singapore and Sri Lanka.
