Controlled Burn (Paperback)

Paperback. The second book in the Jack Decker series, Jack Decker is trying to disappear. Three weeks into a quiet retreat at a Montana safehouse, the former intelligence operative has taken an easy security assessment contract for an old Special Forces teammate, now the owner of a security company. Easy work in a relaxed atmosphere, he spends his free time elk-watching and long runs along the creek trail with his dog, Milo. He is, by every measurable standard, recovering. He is also bored half out of his mind. Then the satellite phone rings at 1:47 a.m. and takes Jack Decker back into a darker world. One he thought he had left behind. Marcus Webb - A senior CIA Division Chief, and one of four people in the world who has that number - is bleeding in a rest stop parking lot south of Missoula, six hours out from a sniper's bullet in a Denver parking garage. He doesn't know who shot him. But he knows why. The second book in the Jack Decker series. Working an easy security contract in Montana, he is thrust back into a world he thought he left behind when the satellite phone rings at 1:47 a.m. This item is printed on demand.
