Conversations with the Goddesses: Revealing the Divine Power Within You

The Greek goddesses have inspired female consciousness for more than 3,000 years. Representing aspects of the soul, they have shaped the lives of countless women over time. The profound emotional experiences of womanhood-being a daughter, being sister, becoming a wife, bearing a child, experiencing sexual passion, love, and jealousy-are as timeless as the myths themselves. Conversations with the Goddesses explores these myths, revealing the personalities of seven female divinities-Aphrodite, Artemis, Athena, Demeter, Hera, Hestia, and Persephone-to help women grow to understand their own inner-feminine patterns and learn to balance and navigate their existence. Learning to embrace the wonderfully unique characteristics of these immortal beings blazes a path for readers to seek freedom and wholeness. Literary reflections give each goddess her own voice, shedding light on her distinctive qualities, while paintings, sculpture, and other artworks explore such emblematic icons as Aphrodite's scallop shell-symbolic of the heady fragrance of female enticement. More than just a beautiful paean to the goddesses, this powerful volume brings these unforgettable women down from Olympus and enables them to touch the lives of modern women.
