A dark cloud with radiant light in the sky, from which the words "Saul Saul quid persequeris me" (Acts 9:4). Engraving on laid paper by (workshop of) Jacques de Gheyn (II), after Karel van Mander. This edition published by Claes Jansz. Visscher, ca. 1600-1650, formerly attributed to Zacharias Dolendo. Sheet size: 363 x 533 mm., cropped within platemark left and right (with minimal loss of image), platemark present top and bottom, original middle fold. Otherwise in very good condition, with slight discolouration in the far left and right edges of the image. Ref: Hollstein 100 (2/II). Iconclass 73F2212.
