No Cooked Breakfast: Lighthearted reflections on my life and how I opened Bear Mountain Lodge, guest notes on why they visited and what the (Paperback or Softback)

What does it really take to turn a home into a bed and breakfast?

Jim Meade transformed his home into Bear Mountain Lodge, a north woods style bed and breakfast (B&B) in rural Pennsylvania. Now, he runs three successful bed and breakfasts and brings together his stories and wisdom from the B&B world.

No Cooked Breakfast is a practical guide infused with a personal narrative about his life before, during, and after opening his B&B, plus comments straight from his own log books in each of the B&B's bedrooms, so that you can see exactly what keeps guests happy and returning, again and again.

In addition to anecdotes about his personal history and the growth of his business, you'll discover:

- Tips for aspiring innkeepers.

- Specific and practical lists for how to open your own B&B.

- Why guests actually choose to stay in B&Bs and not hotels (and their reasons might surprise you!).

- Practical insight into how to keep your B&B running smoothly.

Imagine having a clear understanding of exactly how to run a bed and breakfast, how to manage your business without overworking yourself, and how one man turned his retirement into a successful business venture.
