A new edition, with additions, 1789. Lacks pages 183/186, and pages 199/202, also the last page which is a list of things in season for October, November and December. Small piece torn from the lower corner of the advertisement page (no loss of text). Text heavily marked with cookery spills throughout. Page corners generally scruffy and turned. The book is generally marked throughout and has been heavily used, Front and rear endpapers missing. Bound in contemporary quarter leather with marbled paper covered boards. Corners heavily rubbed and two corners of the front board missing. Externally a very poor copy although everything is still hanging together well. A scarce and early cookery book but as I have said in very poor condition.
