Very good, creased to the first couple of leaves, bumped to the corners. The American Women?s Association (AWA) of Dubai was formed around 1991 to hold regular meetings on diverse cultural, lifestyle and other themes, organise activities, and welcome new residents. The proceeds from this work were donated to UAE charities. Al Othaimeen's goal was to "celebrate the expatriate experiences of our members, the diversity of our backgrounds, and our life in Dubai [and] help to bridge some of the cultural gaps". The recipes are drawn primarily from Dubai's ex-pat community which included representation from the US, Australia, Europe, Middle East, Africa, and the Far East. The recipes are arranged into beverages, appetizers, breakfast brunch and breads, soups, salads and sides, sauces and condiments, main dishes, desserts, cookies and sweets. There is also advice on health, a glossary, index, and conversion charts.
