half title + x + 150 pages + 6 pages publishers list. Binding embossed in fair condition, some wear, some splitting to front cover, but holding. Contents fair/good, some handling and lacks front end-page. Inside cover is "prunes" written in ink 4 times with some staining. Includes the Management of the Kitchen, Plain Cooking, Breadmaking, Baking, Brewing, Pickling, etc. It was Prepared for the use of the National and Industrial Schools of the Holy Trinity at Finchley. The schools at Finchley, for which this manual was originally prepared, was to educate the children of tradesmen and farmers as well as of poor persons (at this time Finchley was a village some way out of London, now is within London.
