Paperback large quarto, good condition, spiral binding, flexible front cover, card rear cover, many black & white text-photos, rear cover little marked, some edgewear, sticker mark front cover, minor pencil annotation. 80 pp. An illustrated report of military activities in Cooktown, far north Queensland, during World War 2 (WW2). This booklet is the Cooktowm response to the Federal Government 'Australia Remembers' program to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the end of WW2 in the Pacific in 1995. The 80 pages include an annex of military units in Cooktown in 1939, and a list of named people. Initially published in 1997, this copy is the second edition, 2005, edited by John Shay. Both editions were produced with the co-operation of the Cooktown and District Historic Society. (No ISBN in book.).
