Tom Wetzel is a police chief in northeast Ohio and has been protecting and serving for 38 years. He is a nationally published author who has written extensively on American policing. He works as an adjunct instructor at a local college and teaches community policing to our next generation of police officers. He also instructs for Northcoast Polytechnic Institute, a private police training organization, and teaches police management and leadership. As a cop, he has served as a patrol officer, shift supervisor, trainer, and SWAT commander. He also serves at his church and is member of the Legion of Mary. BLUE is in his DNA as his uncle Tom Waterwash retired from the Cleveland Police Department and his great grandfather was a cop in Sicily, Italy.
