Vierte Auflage dieses, des zweiten, Bandes des insgesamt achtbändigen Werks. Exemplar aus dem Besitz von Günter Bock mit dessem eigenhändigen Namenszug auf dem vorderen fliegenden Vorsatzblatt. - Provenienz: Nachlaß von Günter Bock bzw. Luise King.- Günter Bock (1918 Danzig - 2002 Berlin) war Architekt, Stadtplaner, Hochschullehrer und Architekturtheoretiker. Seine Freundschaften mit Künstlern wie Karl Otto Götz, Joseph Beuys, Bernard Schultze u.a. inspirierten ihn zu seinem eigenständigen Weg der Verbindung von Architektur und Kunst. 1956 gründete er ein eigenen Architekturbüro. 1970 wurde er als Professor der Leiter der Architekturklasse an der Städelschule in Frankfurt a. M. und blieb dort bis zu seiner Emeritierung im Jahr 1984. Ab 1990 lehrte er dann als Gastprofessor am MIT. Bock war langjährig und bis zu seinem Tod mit der Architektin Luise King liiert. Luise King (1939, Dessau - 2024, Berlin) war eine Architektin, Stadtplanerin und Professorin an der TU Berlin. Sie war u.a. Assistentin bei Ernst Neufert und arbeitete für Candilis-Josic-Woods in Paris. Ab 1977 lehrte sie an der Städelschule in Frankfurt a. M. und erhielt 10 Jahre später einen Ruf an die TU Berlin, wo sie mit Ausnahme einer Gastprofessur am MIT bis zu ihrer Emeritierung 2005 blieb. August 1965 in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, Frankreich; eigentlich Charles-Édouard Jeanneret-Gris) war ein schweizerisch-französischer Architekt, Architekturtheoretiker, Stadtplaner, Maler, Zeichner, Bildhauer und Möbeldesigner. Er war einer der einflussreichsten Architekten des 20. Jahrhunderts, dessen neue Ideen aber auch Kontroversen auslösten und teilweise bis heute umstritten sind. Seit 2016 gehören 17 seiner Bauten zum UNESCO-Welterbe. Sein Pseudonym Le Corbusier nahm er in Anlehnung an den Namen seiner Urgrossmutter Lecorbésier und von corbeau (dt.: Rabe) erstmals in der Zeitschrift L?Esprit nouveau 1920 an. Pierre Jeanneret (* 22. März 1896 in Genf; ? 4. Dezember 1967 ebenda) war ein Schweizer Architekt. Pierre Jeanneret war viele Jahre Partner seines berühmten Vetters (zweiten Grades) Le Corbusier (Charles Edouard Jeanneret). Sie gründeten 1923 in Paris ein gemeinsames Architekturbüro, Jeanneret war an vielen der in diesem Büro entworfenen, für die Entwicklung der modernen Architektur bedeutenden Projekte beteiligt. Das gemeinsame Büro wurde 1940 aufgelöst. In den 1950er Jahren arbeiteten sie beim Bau der indischen Stadt Chandigarh noch einmal zusammen an einem Projekt. Pierre Jeanneret begleitete das Projekt 15 Jahre lang bis kurz vor seinem Tod. In seinem Wohnhaus in Chandigarh befindet sich heute ein Museum. Willy Boesiger (geb. 15. Mai 1904 in Langenthal; gest. 6. Dezember 1990 in Zollikon) war ein Schweizer Architekt und Herausgeber der Publikation von Le Corbusiers Gesamtwerk. (Wikipedia) In französischer Sprache. 208 pages.
