About the Author

Manuel Forcano (Barcelona, 1968) �s poeta, hebraista i traductor. Doctor en Filologia Sem�tica, �s professor d'hebreu i d'hist�ria del Pr�xim Orient Antic a la UB. Entre l'any 2004 i el 2015 va treballar com a documentalista i dramaturg a la Fundaci� Centre Internacional de M�sica Antiga Jordi Savall, de la qual �s avui el President del seu patronat. Ha guanyat els principals premis de poesia en llengua catalana, i ha tradu�t els viatges Ibn Battuta de l'�rab juntament amb Margarida Castells, i Benjam� de Tudela de l'hebreu, llengua de la qual tamb� ha tradu�t els poetes Iehuda Amikhai, Pinchas Sad� i Ronny Someck, aix� com Amos Oz. Ha estat director de l'Institut Ramon Llull del 2016 al 2018. Ha aplegat els seus poemes escollits al volum Arabesc (2022).
