When a corporation goes into decline, how can it recover? Slatter and Lovett, international business consultants based in London, identify seven ingredients necessary for a turnaround. Their analysis--which covers issues including diagnostic review, crisis stabilization, leadership, stakeholder management, and organizational change--is aimed particularly at chief executives and management teams at underperforming businesses as well as at venture capitalists, bankers, and investors. The volume deploys a squintingly difficult typeface; it constitutes a reprint of the authors' 1999 edition of a work called Corporate Turnaround, which was originally published in the 1980s.
