David Raber first saw Cougar when the mountain lion was an eight-week-old kitten on display, locked up in a toaster-size cage and poked and prodded by a crowd. Raber took him out, held him, and just couldn't put him back. David Raber graduated from DePauw University with a pre-med degree and went on to become a distinguished naval graduate. His previous occupations include naval aviator and owner of an aircraft management and charter business. He is currently employed as the loyal servant and devoted friend to his companion, Cougar.
