Synopsis
An urban activist group called ‘Enough is Enough’, set up to fight injustices like local government siding with big business to force planning applications through against the wishes of local residents.A man missing without trace shortly after local people set up a camp outside the gates of the egg farm he owns to protest about its continued expansion in the face of their unswerving opposition.Never mind if the girl by your side is the beautiful Chinese girl who recently won a talent contest on television playing your music. It’s no good hoping for a peaceful homecoming when your move abroad doesn’t work out. Not with Chief Inspector Macdonald still there pulling the strings.

Brian W Taylor was born and brought up in London, moving toShropshire when he retired from his job as a lecturer at a horticulturalcollege. As well as teaching he used to write articles, mostly about plants andtheir place in mythology and religion, which were published throughout theworld. When he took early retirement from teaching he took time out to researchand write the hardback book he has in print, and which is available throughAmazon, Gardens of the Gods. Nowadays he writes gardening articles for thevillage newspaper, helps to write plays for a local amateur dramatics group,and has written a number of novels, all of which have been published by AmazonKindle. The Bodyin the Woods, the second Chief Inspector Macdonald story was published in 2015,and Dead Man Dancing, the third in the series, in 2016. The Time Portal, a timetravel mystery set in an imaginary world, was published in 2017.
