August Strindberg's Miss Julie is the play-within-a-play for Newcomb's dramatic account of a fledgling theater company mounting a production of Strindberg's Miss Julie. Round and round we go as Julie's madness and John's provocations begin to affect the players and finally the company itself.
If you're interested in watching a theater company tackle a difficult production, one affecting everyone with something like the madness of the characters they portray, The Count Is Home is your cup of ... excuse me, hemlock.
