We Don't Count Things

Why are triangles stronger than squares? How can a hotel be completely full and still have room for one more guest? Why is the map on your wall lying to you?

We Don't Count Things answers the questions curious kids aged 9–12 actually ask — the ones that go way beyond the math classroom. Through striking illustrations and visual metaphors, each concept clicks into place without a single formula to memorize.

This book introduces young readers to the fascinating side of mathematics that most textbooks skip entirely:

• The hidden geometry that makes structures strong or fragile
• Infinity — and why some infinities are bigger than others
• How maps distort reality, and why that's impossible to fix
• Patterns, topology, and the math hidden in everyday shapes

Ideal for:

• Kids who like math — and kids who think they don't
• Parents and grandparents looking for a gift that actually sparks conversation
• Teachers and homeschoolers who want STEM enrichment beyond the curriculum

This is not a textbook. It is an invitation to think, ask questions, and see the world differently.

Add it to your cart — for the kid who never stopped asking why.
