Countablock (an Abrams Block Book)

Learning to count is a fun adventure in Countablock, the inventive board book that transforms numbers into a hands-on discovery experience.

Young readers explore numbers from 1 to 100 through bold die-cut pages, playful peek-through surprises, and engaging visual transformations that make every turn of the page exciting.

Perfect for little hands, each spread uses the shape of a numeral as part of a guessing game. One acorn becomes one oak tree, eggs become chicks, and puddles become snowmen, helping children connect numbers with real-world quantities while building early counting skills.

As children trace angles, curves, and shapes with their fingers, they become familiar with both number concepts and numeral recognition. The book introduces numbers 1 through 10 and then progresses by tens all the way to 100, creating a satisfying and age-appropriate path toward early numeracy.

Featuring bright retro-inspired artwork from Peski Studio and a foldout finale revealing 100 puzzle pieces, Countablock combines interactive play with foundational learning. Part of the beloved Abrams Block Book series, this award-winning favorite helps children develop counting confidence while having fun every step of the way.

“Stylish silkscreen-like illustrations and opportunities for both counting and guessing what happens next should keep copies of this chunky book well-loved.” ―Publishers Weekly
