Countdown to the Last Tortilla is a historical fiction picture booK set in early 1950. Mamá promises to make her youngest daughter her first new dress from a flour sack. Pepita's clever schemes to speed up the use of the flour brush against Mamá's need to feed her large family.

I loved Countdown to the Last Tortilla, this engaging bilingual book shares the socioeconomic situation of families and how they used creativity, recycling and thrift to survive. A wonderful addition to any family or local library!

Store description
