Synopsis
Countermeasure: Bytes of Life and Bits of Life are tie-in/sideline series to the Countermeasure Series novels. Countermeasure: Bytes of Life Volume 2 Boxed set includes: Blindsided, Lost to Rapture, and Christmas Wish. NOTE: These short stories and novellas give the readers glimpses into the day-to-day life of the Countermeasure characters. They are voyeuristic glimpses into their married life, proof that the heat of romance begins with I do. These short stories and novellas can be read as standalone Romantica, they are character-driven, NOT plot-driven. Please be advised that ALL shorts in these series contain MATURE content. They are NOT recommended for younger audience. Some of the events taking place in the short stories are referenced in the novels and vice-versa. Although the three series are interconnected, the short stories are not a necessary read for the unraveling of the mystery in the series, yet each book pushes boundaries in the development of their intimate relationship and that reflects in their behavior/actions in the novels. Writing had touched Chris Almeida and Cecilia Aubrey's lives in different ways throughout the years, but never took flight until 2010, when Chris and Cecilia met and began roleplaying online as a hobby. It was through playing fictional characters in a sort of improv written theater that writing took a central position in their lives. The transition from roleplaying to novel writing was smooth, and they attribute the ease of writing realistic characters to their ability to live the scenes through roleplay.
Chris and Cecilia have several short stories and novels published under their own label, Éire Publishing, and are vocal supporters of independent publishing. They're currently working on the next novel in one of their series. Through all the chaos and laughter, they still hold true to their roots, bringing their favorite characters and stories to life.
