Much More Than Counting: More Whole Math Activities for Preschool and Kindergarten

Much More Than Counting has more of the math games, manipulatives, and path games that you appreciated in More Than Counting. More than 100 activities, including ideas for topics like estimation and patterning, which are often ignored in early math curriculum. Addresses questions asked by teachers and parents, and considers questions about toddlers and children with disabilities. Each activity is photographed and has a detailed setup explanation.

Sally Moomaw is professional development coordinator and adjunct instructor at the Arlitt Child and Family Research and Education Center at the University of Cincinnati. She is also the co-author of the "More Than...Series" and Lessons from Turtle Island: Native Curriculum in Early Childhood Classrooms. Brenda Hieronymus is an early childhood education specialist and adjunct instructor at the Arlitt Center. She was named Teacher of the Year in 1999 by the Ohio Association for the Education of Young Children.
