The Twelve Lesson Course: A New Approach to Violin Playing by violin pedagogue Kato Havas is a comprehensive violin instruction method that presents a carefully structured approach to developing technique and musical understanding. The book breaks each aspect of violin playing into clear, manageable steps, making it a valuable resource for individual practice, private lessons, and long-term violin study.
Reflecting Kato Havas's thoughtful teaching philosophy, the method emphasizes gradual progression through organized lessons rather than presenting concepts all at once. The original source describes the book as useful for the beginner and advanced player alike, providing a comprehensive reference that readers can revisit throughout their musical journey.
Each lesson is designed to build confidence through a logical sequence of concepts while helping players develop a solid understanding of violin playing. The structured organization encourages consistent practice and allows readers to focus on individual techniques before moving to the next stage of study.
The strength of this edition lies in its thorough presentation and its focus on breaking complex aspects of violin playing into manageable stages. Readers can return to individual lessons whenever they wish to reinforce specific concepts or revisit important techniques. Teachers may also find the structured format useful as a supplemental resource that supports consistent musical development while encouraging thoughtful practice habits.
Whether purchased for personal study, music lessons, a school music library, or as a thoughtful gift for a violinist, The Twelve Lesson Course: A New Approach to Violin Playing remains a respected educational resource with a carefully organized, lesson-based approach to violin instruction.

We give people around the world the opportunity to contribute to the circular economy, earn money and protect the planet, by trading their unwanted books and media. - Shopiago: Through Shopiago, we help others. By sharing the technology that has grown World of Books Group into the business it is today, we’re helping charities increase revenue and reduce waste through re-commerce.…
