Fifteenth Edition The last published and most famous work of Scottish poet Robert Pollok. The first edition of the poem sold 12,000 copies, and by its fourth edition it had sold 78,000 copies and become well known even in North America. With bookseller's label to front pastedown and ink inscriptions to front pastedown and front free endpaper. In a cloth binding. Externally, generally smart but with slight wear to extremities. Internally, generally firmly bound although strained in places, with frontispiece almost detached. Generally bright and clean throughout but with slight off-setting to title page from frontispiece.
