A continuation of the title reads, "From the originals in the Royal Gallery at Windsor, by Sir Peter Lely and others. Engraved in the highest style of art by Thomson, Wright, Scriven, B. Holl, Wagstaff, and T.A. Deane. With Memoirs by Mrs. Jameson." Book has 21 engravings and memoirs of various beauties of the reign of Charles II; a 22nd engraving of Frances, Duchess of Richmond is included as frontis, without memoir. Book is Fair with large amounts of paper missing from paper-covered boards. Most of the missing paper is at head of spine and top edges of boards. In addition, boards are bowed, final leaf of text has seven-inch tear that has been mended with apparently archival tape with no loss of legibility, TOC page has half-inch tear at bottom, and book has occasional foxing that is more prevalent in margins of engravings. One page of text has been tipped back in to book.
