About this title

Synopsis

A engaging and powerful work, Cowboy Poetry is a book of poems written by cowboys, for cowboys from the Appalachian hills to the rolling plains of Texas. Inside Cowboy Poetry you will find poems that make you laugh, cry and wonder about what it was really like to traverse the open expanses of the West before roads, trains and planes could take you everywhere.

Some might call portions of the writing light-hearted or label it as a caricature of real cowboy life, but inside these humorous poems one can find the true heart of the cowboys' real-life struggles. This exciting and diverse new collection will open the eyes of readers to a world lit by firelight on the prairie, living life off of the land, surrounded by animals and danger, peppered with whiskey and stories. With a great collection of classic poems by more than six poets, Cowboy Poetry is an assortment of sentiments, trials, and tribulations of life for early western Americans.

Inside your copy of Cowboy Poetry, you will find a window to the past, full of adventure and mischief. Live vicariously the life of a real cowboy from the comfort of your own home with Cowboy Poetry.
