Synopsis
The Silence of the Lambs meets Something is Killing the Children in the supernatural horror thriller, SOMETHING CRAWLED OUT, where the devil you know may be the most terrifying of all.

Something wicked crawled out screaming.
In the small Midwest town of Welling Grove, Edith "Eddie" Miller has no grand plans or great prospects. She spends her days sleeping in and her nights working shifts at the local rest stop. But when her younger sister fails to come home, Eddie unearths a web of missing girls and rotting bodies. The police prove useless, so Eddie teams up with her best friend, Rainer, in a desperate hunt to find her sister. The only thing is…Eddie believes her best friend might be the Devil himself.
SOMETHING CRAWLED OUT is a darkly disturbing tale of desire and brutality, desperation and devastation, and family.

About the Author
SON M. is an Algerian-Amazigh Muslim award-winning writer who specializes in beautifully brutal acts of horror and liminal spaces. Her work ranges from the fantastical (THIEF OF THE HEIGHTS, Harper Collins 2024) to the grotesque (SOMETHING CRAWLED OUT, Vault Comics 2023). Her passions lead her to multiple types of storytelling, working as a Narrative Designer for multiple projects as well as the Creative Director and co-founder of Perfect Garbage Studios.
Previous work include DC Comics, Z2 Comics, Titan, Dark Horse and more. In games, Son M. has worked on award-winning indies, such as Viewfinder, to AAA projects. Her short film Death’s Diner has won multiple awards for its script.Her latest short story THIS BODY IS NOT YOUR HOME is set to be published in March 2024 in the highly anticipated anthology BURY YOUR GAYS.

MadCursed is a comic artist, colorist, and illustrator from Italy.
They possess a deep passion for angsty-themed and dark stories, and have participated in several collaborative artbooks published by Kudos Editore (WASTELANDS 2023, SAMURAI Reunion, FOUR HORSEMEN OF THE APOCALYPSE) and by Queer Publishing House (AND THEY WERE MONSTERS).
Although learning animation is an interest, drawing comics still calls them louder!
They have few on-going comic projects soon to published by U.S. comics publishers.

Jim Campbell is a twice-Eisner-nominated comic-book letterer, one-time writer (perhaps again in the future!) and occasional artist (although his enthusiasm rather outstrips his actual ability). He knows more about print production than mortal man was meant to know and has also scanned more images than you've had hot dinners. Unless you're ninety years old.

Der-shing Helmer is the Eisner-nominated and Ignatz-award winning independent science-fantasy and educational comic artist from the CA Bay Area, now based in the San Diego Area. Der-shing is currently the Managing Editor at Vault Comics. She is a self-taught artist, and has a biology degree from UC Berkeley as well as a formal background in secondary science education.
