About the Author
Michelle Karns has worked with schools throughout the country as a trainer with National Training Associates, an education consulting firm in Sebastopol, California. She originated the popular Kids Day program, now operating in more than a thousand schools, and has helped develop other programs that engender healthy relationships among kids, parents, and teachers. Her many keynote addresses and conference presentations have focused on increasing awareness of the reality experienced by today's children and on ways to build individual coping skills. She has also worked as a therapist, teacher, and writer.
