Packed with innovative teaching strategies and easy-to- do group activities for upper elementary and middle school students, this book is ideal for use during classes, homerooms, or advisory periods. The first part of the book shows teachers how to become more effective adult-child communicators and how to "connect" with kids to become a positive influence in their lives. The second part contains 50 activities that help develop interpersonal sensitivity, teamwork, acceptance of cultural diversity, tolerance, effective communication skills, and more.
