The CREATION Health Life Guide Series takes a deep dive into CREATION Health, a faith-based health and wellness program based on the Bible's Creation story.
The word CREATION in CREATION Health is comprised of the first letters of: Choice, Rest, Environment, Activity, Trust, Interpersonal, Outlook, and Nutrition. Each Life Guide focuses on one letter of the CREATION Health acronym and translates the fundamental concepts into easy-to-follow steps. The guides include questions designed to help individuals or small groups plumb the depths of every principle and learn strategies for integrating them into everyday life.
Individual readers and group participants will discover that embracing the CREATION Health prescription can help restore health, happiness, balance, and joy to life. Kim Johnson is a popular writer, speaker, and fervent advocate for holistic living. As the author of three books, eleven lesson series, and many articles, his writings focus on healthy living and spiritual connectedness. His materials have been used in hundreds of churches throughout North America and internationally as well.
Johnson is an ordained minister with more than 35 years of experience as a parish pastor and church administrator. Over the years, his work with parishioners emphasized principles of whole-person health as a path to optimum mental, physical, social, and spiritual well-being. His later work with pastors and church leaders emphasized skill development such as vision casting, goal setting, support systems, relationship management, and accountability.
Johnson has put his experience of working with pastors and parishioners to use in the CREATION Health Life Guide Series by creating a resource ideally suited for use in churches, small groups or individual study. Johnson holds a Master of Divinity degree and received his Bachelor of Arts in theology. He currently serves as Director of Resource Development for churches in the state of Florida. His personal interests include reading, classical music, art and book festivals, kayaking, traveling, volunteering, and small group study. He and his wife Ann make their home in Orlando.
