Creating Monsters: The Downside of 'Perfect' Parenting

Are you doing everything for your kids—managing their friendships, scheduling every hour, and protecting them from every possible failure—only to find them anxious, entitled, and unable to cope with the real world?

"Creating Monsters" is a powerful critique of the modern obsession with "perfect parenting." Author Jerome Ellis argues that this relentless drive to create a "gold medal childhood" is backfiring. By bubble-wrapping our children, managing their social lives, and praising them as "special" for simply showing up, we are robbing them of the very skills they need to succeed.

This book reveals how our best intentions are creating a generation of young adults who lack resilience, struggle with social skills, and are terrified of failure. It's a wake-up call for parents who are burning themselves out to give their kids a perfect life, only to create an adulthood they aren't prepared for.

"Creating Monsters" provides a path back to sanity, championing the "good enough" parent and giving you the courage to let your children fail, grow, and become the capable, resilient adults they are meant to be.
