About the Author

Ralph Hammann is professor of design and sustainable building systems in the department of architecture of the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign.

Klaus Daniels has devoted four decades to advanced engineering solutions as a consulting engineer. From 1996 to 2006 he taught at the Eidgen�ssische Technische Hochschule in Zurich. In 2006, the Technische Universit�t in Munich celebrated his work with an honorary doctorate in engineering. He is now holding the chair for design and building technology at the Technische Universit�t Darmstadt.
