This book gives a step by step guide on how to use block patterns and convert them into any other stylized pattern inorder to create a variety of clothing for men, women and children. Block method is a technique of applying pattern alterations to basic blocks and converting these blocks to final design patterns. In this method you do not have to draft a new pattern for a new garment style but instead you will simply make some changes to the existing basic blocks made in standard size or personalised measurements.

Basically the methods explore ways of  pattern alteration methods - dart manipulation, slash-spread-retrace, and pattern grading. Find pattern developing methods for Indian Cholis, Lehengas, Kurtis, Jackets, Shirts, Kids Frocks and Jumpsuits. You will also find templates of basic patterns for a number of sizes. Having pattern templates is very useful especially when you are working on a collection plan. Because in this case you would not be wasting a lot of time developing basic patterns in standard sizes as you can rely on these pattern templates.
