About the Authors

Jeanne DeFazio is a former SAG/AFTRA (Screen Actors Guild - American Federation of Television and Radio Artists) actress of Spanish Italian descent, who played supporting parts in theater, movies, and television series, then served the marginalized in the drama of real life. She became a teacher of second language-learner children in the barrios of San Diego. She completed a BA in History at the University of California, Davis, MAR in Theology at Gordon- Conwell Theological Seminary, and a Cal State Teach English Language Learners program. From 2009 to 2024, she served as an Athanasian Teaching Scholar at Gordon-Conwell's multicultural Boston Center for Urban Ministerial Education.

John P. Lathrop holds a MA in Urban Ministry from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. He is an ordained minister with the International Fellowship of Christian Assemblies and author of four books: Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors, and Teachers Then and Now (2008); The Power and Practice of the Church: God, Discipleship, and Ministry (2010); Answer the Prayer of Jesus: A Call for Biblical Unity (2011); and Dreams & Visions: Divine Interventions in Human Experience (2012).

William David Spencer (ThD, Boston University School of Theology) is Ranked Adjunct Professor of Theology and the Arts at the Boston Campus of Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. He is the author of Mysterium and Mystery: The Clerical Crime Novel, Dread Jesus, Name in the Papers: An Urban Adventure Novel, and coeditor of Chanting Down Babylon: The Rastafari Reader.
