Narrow 8vo. Glazed wrappers. 14pp. Fine. Probable sole printing of this "Stenographic transcript of address before the Second General Session of the 81st Annual Convention of the American Bankers Association, Grand Ballroom, The Conrad Hilton, Chicago, Illinois, September 28, 1955" -- obviously not the full-length book by this same title that Randall published a few years prior to this. Handsomely inscribed by the noted Chicago steel industry leader (chairman of Inland Steel Company) on the front wrapper "To / Arnold Gates / from / Clarence B Randall." (Arnold Gates, 1914-93, was a noted Lincoln and Civil War scholar, but made his living in the steel industry.) Very interesting.
