Creede

Melvin Miller has been murdered and his wife, Cassie, is the prime suspect of the heinous crime. Cassie barely escapes the clutches of the two Dallas detectives that have come to arrest her. She has no choice but to call her two best friends, Gillian and Lori, to help her find the real murderer and prove her innocence. Soon she finds herself not only running from the law, but running for her life. The murderer has followed them to Creede, Colorado where he kidnaps Cassie as well as Gillian's children.

Lydia Smith was raised in Garland, Texas, the second of four children. She has two brothers and one sister. She married young and has three children. She always wanted to write about the hilarious antics of the children. She began writing Treachery in Creede about three years ago and incorporated several of the children's comical events for the enjoyment of her family and friends. After reading the book, her daughters and best friend convinced her to publish it.
