HARDBACK original blind-embossed blue cloth gilt lettering on spine and gilt embossed device on front cover pages: x 566 text-figs. 79 plates 1 (no. ix) many tables145mm x 247mm (5.75 x 9.75") head tail and corners lightly bumped and rubbed spine faded covers used small split on rear hinge (but sound) former owner's details on front end-paper and note on rear end-paper small presentation stamp (from 'His Majesty's Government') on end-paper and title-page browning to end-papers light marks on title-page.
