There is pencil a small amount of pencil underlining on pages 43 and 44.The text pages of this book are generally clean. There is the odd spot of foxing or discolouration here and there but nothing heavy and nothing widespread. The paper is bright, the font is well-devery goodd and the text is legible at all points. The illustrations also appear clear.What will be immediately noticeable is that the text block is free from the covers and spine material. The title page is detached and there is a good chance that we are missing some endpapers. This book currently opens onto its title page and ends on a 'by the same author' page. There is no padding at either end so to speak. The edges of the text block appear in good condition however. They do not appear stained or marked and the pages continue to sit together well.As the text block has come free, parts of the backing material and webbing are now partly attached to the text block and partly left between the boards. (Please see photographs.) This book would be a good candidate for professional repair.Externally, this book has green cloth boards. A gilt cricketer stands at the center of the front cover. Border ruling and decoration are stamped in blind on both the front and back covers. There is rubbing visible around the covers' edges and at the corners the boards are exposed. The material at the head and tail of the spine is frilled. This is a used book in fair condition due to its detached title page and the fact that the text block has come free from the cover material. This book would be a good candidate for professional repair. The contents of this book are in good condition and remain perfectly fit for study. A fascinating piece.
