Walter P. Signorelli is Lecturer and Adjunct Professor of Law and Police Science at John Jay College of Criminal Justice at the City University of New York (CUNY), USA, and a practicing criminal defense attorney. Signorelli was a member of the New York City Police Department for more than thirty years. He retired as an Inspector in the Detective Division having been the commanding officer of precincts in Brooklyn and Manhattan, in the Organized Crime Control Bureau, and in the Narcotics Division. He is a graduate of St. John’s University School of Law, cum laude, and the Columbia University Police Management Institute.
