About this Item

Paperback. Being the future patriarch of the most powerful noble house on Defa comes with a lot of requirements for Cristos Armida, but the most important ones involve securing his place as patriarch of the House of Armida. To do that and keep the peace with his father, Cristos must first bind an approved female and then produce a son. He's having trouble fulfilling the first part of the requirement because none of the females his father would approve appeal to him. Cristos comes up with a compromise his father might accept, even grudgingly, but before he can offer it, a girl from a reclusive planet who's everything Cristos wants drops in his path. And if securing the house while appeasing his father isn't challenging enough, Cristos has to also contend with Helon Rizer, the future patriarch of the third most powerful noble house. Helon embodies everything wrong with nobility and after an unforgivable incident in their past that Cristos overlooked, he tried to actively avoid Helon even though their paths seem destined to continue to cross. Cristos' approach is finally blown to smithereens when Helon commits another unforgivable act, but this time, Cristos is unable to overlook it.To live his own life and make Defa a safer place, Cristos will have to finally stop avoiding and face the problems with his father and Helon head-on. But is he ready? Can he do it? And if he can, at what price? And when he knows the price, is he willing to pay it and accept the consequences? This item is printed on demand.
