Critical Pathways in Therapeutic Intervention: Upper Extremities

Unique in its approach to rehabilitation, Critical Pathways pulls ideas and concepts from sports medicine, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, geriatrics, ergonomics, kinesiology and physiatry to offer conservative rehabilitation methods to be consideredbefore surgical intervention. The case study format promotes critical thinking by stimulating real encounters with patients and covering many of the maladies most commonly seen in outpatient rehabilitation. Each case study provides the necessary paradigm clinical data, as well as results of clinical tests needed for a successful evaluation of commonly seen pathologies. Chapters are organised into 5 major areas: hand and wrist, elbow and forearm, shoulder, brachial plexus/thoracic outlet/shoulder girdle andnerve and muscle legions.
