Cross Layer Design in Wireless Sensor Networks

The book presents a first systematic approach for the cross layer design in wireless sensor networks, where the optimizations for energy efficiency and application QoS are required. A reference model of the network architecture, Embedded Wireless Interconnect, is firstly concluded from the presented studies, as a potential standardized way of the cross layer design in wireless sensor networks. Dr. Liang Song was awarded the Ph.D. degree from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Toronto, Canada, in 2006. He has published about 30 research papers, and invented 7 patent-pending innovations in the areas of cognitive wireless communications and networking, signal processing, and embedded systems.
