Cross Talk: Where Life and Scripture Meet

Your friend just left his wife. You catch your child posting something inappropriate online. Someone in your small group is battling depression. A relative receives a devastating diagnosis. In moments like these, you don’t want to offer shallow platitudes or canned religious answers—you long to share real hope rooted in God’s Word.

In CrossTalk: Where Life and Christian Scripture Meet, Michael R. Emlet shows how to connect the ancient, powerful truths of the Bible with the messy realities of modern life. By learning to understand both people and Scripture in deeper ways, you’ll discover how to engage in rich, gospel-centered conversations that nurture genuine love for God and others.

• Bridges the gap between biblical truth and everyday struggles with practical wisdom.
• Teaches you to replace clichés with meaningful, life-giving words grounded in Scripture.
• Equips you to offer compassionate, gospel-centered counsel that helps people find real hope in Christ.
