Paperback. Bedtime stories are a big deal in my house. We have read our way through hundreds of stories and 'Crumble Tales' is my attempt at filling some of the gaps that my children have noticed. Sally is the star - Apart from Crumble, her purple elephant, and she meets the worries and problems that most of the children I have worked with have experienced at some time. The tales are funny, meaningful and above all - real! Each of the stories has a base in something that has happened in our family. There may be a little exaggeration at some points. The stories are written to be shared and to give parents and teachers a platform to discuss the issues that children can really struggle with. Friendship, peer pressure and the difficult task of getting along with people. Even ones you don't really like all that much! Sally and Crumble go through the stories making choices. Some good - some not so good! I was keen to write using my experience as a teacher and an specialist in social- emotional work with children aged 4 to 11. I hope that 'Crumble Tales' is fun to share and helps your children to think about the common worries of school and being 'nearly nine' in different ways. Also - just to clarify. I do not find the way that 'Dad' is treated by the rest of them very funny. If anyone wants to help poor 'Dad' out. Please contact me, um, him and make suggestions. About the Author

David J. Boxall is a Lead Teacher Advisor for Portsmouth and spends most of his time trying to help families and schools work with children that are not very happy for various reasons. David has three children of his own and wrote the stories in this book for fun. Other people have read the stories and made nice noises. So David made a book of them. David enjoys photography, cats and Austrian Christmas Music. He tells lots of fibs.
