Early chromolithographic label for Saussine s long-running series of French alphabet blocks, designed by fin-de-siècle poster artist Raoul Vion. A beaming schoolmaster presides over a parade of children marching under a triumphal arch constructed of ABC blocks. A near-fine example of Art Nouveau commercial art, suitable for framing. Single chromolithographic sheet, measuring 6 x 9.75 inches, printed on glazed paper. Signed by Raoul Vion in the stone, lower left corner. Two pinholes to lower right, lightest wear.
