, . . HB. 35 vols, cloth, some worn, some with torn/damaged spines. A unique collection of 35 bound volumes (numbered and with spine titles) of approximately 150 papers, mostly on the Culicidae, compiled by the well-known entomologist, Frederick Vincent Theobald (1868-1930). A few volumes bear the stamp, Wye Court, Wye, and a later blind stamp of the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, a few with his signature. This collection represents a working archive, used by Theobald to assist his research on mosquitoes. The collection is global in content, covering the period 1891-1910. Many papers by leading international dipterists of the day are inscribed to Theobald. The collection also includes 12 papers by Theobald.1. F.W.
